And there is something refreshing about seeing Miley in such a simple shape. It reminds me of Nicole Richie's CFDA dress, which makes sense given that was from the same Fall 2013 Marc Jacobs collection. The runway version is here and I have to say I appreciate that she styled it so simply. It's way more 90s that way -- at least in terms of shape. Actually, I might be ready for Miley to stick a tee shirt under her slip dress and start listening to a lot of Blind Melon.

I'm glad to see that Marc Jacobs made sure Miley cleaned up nice for an evening where she was presenting him with an award. (I also must admit that the more people freak out about Miley, the more I get that contrary urge to defend her. This may be in part because I really like belting "Wrecking Ball" in the car.)
