This is the skirt version of the dress Marion Cotillard wore yesterday and I LOVE this iteration. As many outfits as I look at everyday, it's rare for me to think, "oh my god, I WANT that," but I want this.

Although, from the front, I wish the top was a bit more snug, or the waistband a little more defined? It might need a belt? Right? It's somewhat more glorious from the side than from the front, which is not ideal. But those are nitpicks. This is totally Fabulous Holiday Cocktail Party In Your Refined Home-wear, right? You WILL serve champagne in coupes when you're wearing this skirt and you will also probably serve some form of fruit which has been set on fire. And it will be the retro throwback party of the season!

This is from a press event at the BBC and I suspect the dress is 100% charming. You know what I'm going to complain about, right? But you HAVE to be with me on this one: WHO looks at that dress and thinks, "it needs nude shoes." NO ONE.

I keep forgetting that Natalie Portman is in Thor 2: Thor in the City, or whatever it's called -- probably because, for some reason, I never saw Thor I: Original Thor, and ergo I never really absorbed that she was part of that universe. I was discussing this with Fug Friend Carrie the other night, and she pointed out that there's a whole bit in The Avengers where Thor is all, "yeah, I left Natalie Portman at home because she had a souffle she had to keep an eye on" (I'm paraphrasing) and I even forgot that.
