You know I liked to do these things chronologically. And you also know that I ALWAYS break that rule in the case of abs/forearms. I will not make you wait for abs/forearms! Ahem, per Getty -- or, rather, I'm sure a press release: "Prince Harry takes part in a rugby coaching session with young people undertaking The Prince's Trust Team Programme during a visit to locally based organization Inspire Suffolk in Ipswich, [which]... aims to provide children, young people and adults with the chance to take part in sport, health improvement and education activities to which they may not otherwise have access." (a) This photo is a delight and (b) as you'll see later in this slideshow, Harry has THE BEST TIME when they send him out to hang out with kids. He is clearly a very good uncle.
Okay, but before all of the adorable kids and cute animals, Harry went with Her Maj to present the Household Cavalry with new standards at Horse Guards Parade. (We'll have more pics of the parade in tomorrow's Royals Round-Up.) He looked handsome and slightly bored...UNTIL....
"I say, who's THIS?"
HARRY: "Oi, mate. Introduce me to your friend."
MATE: "OH, her??"
HER: "Me???!"
And that's when we all witnessed Harry meet his future bride. (She's not wearing a ring!) I'm telling you, I have come up with an entire fiction for these two, and I decided that I love her. She's blonde -- which we know he loves -- but dressed very elegantly and in a lovely hat, which WE love. Heather and I discussed, and we decided she's very posh (after all, she has VERY good seats at this event) but lovely and she will take no BS from Harry and be maddeningly, distractingly, fabulously aloof until he proves she can trust that His Love Is Pure. I can't wait for them to get married. We decided her name is Edwina. #TeamEdwina!
And then they all popped over to Buck House for another garden party (Kate's going to the next one), which of course required everyone to change and Harry to pull out Old Faithful, his beloved yellow waistcoat. (Anne looks amazing; I have a photo of her running tomorrow where she has CLEARLY spied someone who is up to no good and must needs be punished.)
"Right. Open bar, clocked. Let's go press some flesh."
This was a special Garden Party for the Household Cavalry Regiment. I feel like Harry's saying, "I know, I'm wearing a top hat. It's true."
And then today was simply full of delights. There were HUDDLES!
And handshakes!
And this shot again because I thought you might want to see it twice!
"Aw, come on, you guys! Give me a little love."
YAY! High-fives for everyone. Harry is so cute with these kids, I basically can't take it.
He also got to pop over and eyeball everyone's winning science fair (?) projects, and I love how all these kids are in their cute little Wellies. They are the cutest.
NO ONE is more delighted by pizza-making than Prince Harry. He LOVES to make pizza. His ring tone is the Boboli theme song!
Wait. THIS might be the cutest thing. "Let's put another mushroom on this. Right there."
And also farm animals were met. I love this man -- he reminds me of my grandfather, who was quite fond of wearing a similar hat (and whose mother was English, so perhaps he's a relation). His jacket is very smart and so is his horse, which the Daily Mail I Know tells me is a working Suffolk Punch horse and they are endangered -- but Wikipedia promises me they're doing better now, and thank god. (The Wiki is actually quite interesting. This is rather like the time I accidentally spent like three hours on Wikipedia reading about Famous Racehorses.)
"So, who do YOU think should have won Eurovision? Yes. Yes, I see your point, sheep. Thank you."
This horse is also lovely, and his owner appears to have a tie-pin that looks like a horse, which is ALSO LOVELY. Children! Horses! Pizza! Romance! This slideshow has EVERYTHING.
