I love how adorably shellshocked and exhausted they seem. It's really....normal and charming.

## HERE'S THE BABY.

LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACE. He is so scrunchie and adorable.

## He Waves!

He even already has the Royal Wave down.

## The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge

"Hey, dude. We had a baby."

## The Handout

Royals...they're just like us. THEY HAND OFF THE BABY.

## Prince William

They carry car seats!

## Wills and Kate

Something about her gazing at the baby while he waves at all these people who love him is really touching.

## Prince William and Kate Middleton and the Prince of Cambridge

SO MANY FEELINGS. First, they seemed so emotional and happy and tired and a little pleasantly shell-shocked, like any couple that has a new baby. It was incredibly touching to see William clearly so loving -- he rubbed Kate's back for most of the presser -- and..., you know, he just always seems like such a nice dude. He carried the car-seat out and then drove them home, like a normal couple (you know...considering). Something about knowing how sad Will's life has been with the loss of his mother, it's very touching to see him with his own happy little family. And I think there is zero coincidence that Kate is wearing polka dots, [just as Diana did when she presented William.](https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/2013072313685/relive-diana-leaving-hospital?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)

Plus, I think she's wearing her old favorite espadrilles.

## The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Leave

Off home!

## Prince Charles

"Let me tell YOU something. This baby is marvelous!"

[Well Played, Prince X of Cambridge (And Family)Babies are so exciting! Enjoy your first peek at the Royal One. And shocking no one, the as yet unnamed Prince looks like a snuggly little muffin, if one that will eventually be king. King Snuggle Muffin, I imagine Kate is already privately calling him. (The day that he will become king, CNN was excited to point out yesterday, is one few of us will actually see because of how we're all probably gonna die before it happens!!! Thanks, CNN. You're super festive.) That being said, THIS actually is super festive, as events go, and everyone looks totally happy and great and tired and excited and yay! Go peal some bells for us, Great Britain. I hope you've got today off. PS: If you want to see Wills and Kate answering some press questions, video is here. It's really charming. \[Photos: Getty and WENN\]![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/174291000.xml)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/well-played-prince-x-of-cambridge-and-family-07-2013/)
