## Dakota Fanning, Ewan McGregor, Jennifer Connelly, Uzo Aduba

Essentially, everyone here looks FREAKING GREAT. Each of these people is wearing something that looks great on them, and all of their heads look great. ROUND OF APPLAUSE. (I also feel like Jennifer Connelly has never looked happier, like, as a human.)

## Uzo Aduba in Christian Siriano

Apparently, *American Pastoral* \-- based on the Philip Roth book, and directed by Ewan McGregor -- [is getting REALLY bad reviews](https://www.indiewire.com/2016/09/american-pastoral-review-roundup-ewan-mcgregor-philip-roth-tiff-2016-toronto-film-festival-1201725581/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). So I am happy to note that my review of Uzo's look here is a thumbs up, at least.

## Uzo Aduba

I will note that Uzo's shoes are unusually restrained at this junket -- she looks great here, as usual, but I expected a little more foot-related zing from the host of *Celebrity Shoe Intervention With Uzo Aduba*.

## Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton

FWIW, I think this is kind of a mess.

HOWEVER, hang on to your hats and glasses, because I love this on her, despite the fact that it's RIDICULOUS as an article of human clothing.

## Dakota Fanning in Gucci

This is very charming and pretty on her.

## Dakota Fanning

This feels super Cocktail Party Appropriate.

And this is just plain old fabulous on her -- very Jennifer Lawrence's First Oscars Dress. (We'll just handwave away those shoe because the rest of it is so great.)

## Valorie Curry in Jenny Packham

Valorie Curry was in *Twilight*, and I cannot place her at all there, and she's probably fine with that. The good news is that she looks super in this Packham number.

I am always jealous of anyone who can wear this color and not look bilious. She looks fantastic in this.

Sure! Very professional. Storm into that board room and bend everyone to your will!

## Ewan McGregor

Oh, Ewan. You are so handsome, and yet these pants appear to be attempting to destroy you from within.

[Well Played: The American Pastoral Cast at the Toronto Film FestivalThis is one really good-looking cast. And whoever is responsible for styling them for TIFF is making the most of everyone's genetic blessings. They look, to an actor, fab.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/09/ffn_gg_tiff_american_pastoral_press_09102016_52169923.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/well-played-the-american-pastoral-cast-at-the-toronto-film-festival-09-2016/)
