Apparently, the happy couple met at Swiss boarding school, but she has done a TON with her life. Per my Royal Sources (Wikipedia), she worked at Conde Nast, which feels very socialite-y, and then....she got a masters degree in bioethics and is now getting her PhD with a dissertation focusing on "bioethical evaluation of consent for organ donation" and she recently completely a stint as "a visiting scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University." And she speaks four languages. So, you know. Totally dumb, this one.
Charming.
And I love her earrings.
I assume Prince Felix will shave for the church wedding? He is quite handsome, though. Wikipedia tells me that, ahem, "after completing high school with honours, he joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Britain; however due to a serious knee injury, he had to leave the programme early. Between 2003 to 2004, Prince Félix took interest in different fields of study such as political science, psychology and communication, leading him to attend schools in England and Belgium. He has also completed courses at various companies in order to obtain additional professional experience...In June 2009, the Grand Ducal Court announced that in October 2009 Prince Félix would begin a bachelors degree in bioethics at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy."
In other words, "Prince Felix is not very academically focused, and just decided to study what his girlfriend was doing, because, why not? He will never actually get this degree, and his inability to complete his education is likely driving his parents nuts, even if he is a prince. He's second in line! You have to finish what you start, Felix!"
I've never seen two children less impressed with being forced to wear vests. I truly think one of my favorite things about all these royal weddings is getting to spy on the kids who are too young to realize they're supposed to be put a happy face on at all times. It's hilarious to me to watch them roll their eyes, cover their ears, make faces at whatever nutty get-up tradition has forced upon them.
Parents of the groom. He always looks to me like the head of a dramatic patrician family chronicled in a BBC miniseries, perhaps because he sort of reminds me of Richard Chamberlain? Ooh, look at their wedding photos!
The pink is pretty on Stephanie; I ASSUME that Saturday's event will be chockablock with tiaras, however. It better be.
And this was how they left the wedding. What manner of transportation IS THIS? It's very cute.
Very cute indeed.
