For a second, I thought she was holding a Starbucks cup. "You guys, it's early. I don't know what to tell you." But that's just her clutch. Insert my usual comment about the shoes, ALTHOUGH! I did order some LK Bennetts when they were on Gilt this past week -- I got navy patent, not beige, of course -- and they were SO COMFORTABLE, and I'd wear mine all the time too if I had to walk a lot. (Also: I know. I have a problem. THEY WERE ON SALE. LEAVE ME ALONE.)
"I tried to talk William into one of those! He refused."
I believe this bear is wearing their tartan, which you can also see on this scarf Kate is carrying for the Flotilla during the Jubilee. (I loved that outfit; remember the Jubilee? That was fun. We had good times, you guys.) Yes, I just reported on what a bear is wearing. Not even a real bear. A stuffed bear.
"Our horses ALSO wanted to meet you guys. They have thoughts about your suits."
We are totally putting this distillery on the Fug Nation Tour of Theres We Want To Go To. Apparently, it's Scotland's oldest distillery! And look, they have this interesting thing that surely does something important in the making of whisky, about which we'll all be interested to learn. (I KNOW at least one of you has been, so do tell in the comments.)
This will go quite nicely in the piece I'm writing that's just William drinking things, and/or sniffing things that are meant to be drunk. (That's also a nice look at Kate's pin, which was a wedding gift from William, as per The Express; it's a Celtic knot.)
"No, I could really use a drink, actually."
"I could ALSO use a drink."
"Drinks for EVERYONE!"
I actually think she had to drink, because everyone always thinks she's knocked up, AND since she didn't belt a coat that's normally belted, that rumor mill would get kicked up again, including probably by ME, if I must be honest. Actually, if I were her, I might not mind that story popping in and taking over the news cycle for a bit. Start refusing soft cheeses, Kate, and see if that helps.
"We really unveil a lot of plaques."
"I know. My Gran actually has a plaque congratulating her on unveiling the most amount of plaques."
"In what, like a year?"
"No. Ever. In history."
