Kate and Wills

"Hello, everyone! I decided not to freeze my royal buns off and went for a long-sleeved dress!"

Kate and Naomie

I love how delighted Naomie looks here. She's all, "I cannot wait to get onto Twitter and tell everyone about the ponytail." I believe, by the way, that it's a black velvet ribbon around the pony, NOT a wee subtle scrunchie, for which of course we'd need to punish Cressida. (A black velvet ribbon feels so British Boarding School to me. In a good way.)

Kate

Personally, I am into this Intentionally Messy Pony With a Formal Gown. It feels sort of fresh with the rest of this look. (Ponytails are actually also very on-trend right now which is awesome because I'm lazy.)

Kate's Clutch

THIS CLUTCH IS EVERYTHING. (I'm just kidding. This clutch is basic.)

Kate's "Diamonds"

The necklace, on the other hand, looks pretty glamorous. I did NOT think it was faux until What Kate Wore ID'ed it. I HAVE to think that popping out in a Zara necklace this week is a very calculated way to balance the scales after wearing a tiara earlier this week. I don't mean "calculated" in a negative way; I actually think it's smart.

Well Replayed, Kate Middleton
In which she replays a Roland Mouret from May of 2012, which we all liked at the time -- especially since she wore it with open-toed shoes for the first time, like, ever. If that was the first outing of the Royal Toes, this is the first instance of The Royal Ponytail At A Fancy Event. With bonus diamonds. A LOT of them...and they're allegedly faux, from freaking Zara.
