The Azzedine Alaia show this season took place at an unbeatable location: the Guggenheim, with the models coming down the iconic spiral. And as you can tell, the crowd saw everything from the sublime to the ridiculous; I can see this being very effective in that setting -- that khaki outfit up there feels particularly inspired by the location -- but when Rihanna wears any of this around New York City or it sneaks onto a red carpet, will it make sense? Who knows, and that's the fun of it. The less sense, the better, honestly.
