Let's first give her props for trying to be all sci-fi experimental, because theoretically, this is the place. But... look, this is Monse, and that designer and I may never speak the same language. Because Monse is also responsible for the floral toilet seat she wore and this custom baby blanket Jessica Biel wore, and... this person is designing for an audience that is WAY, way not me.
But this seriously under-serves her in every way. That clear strap on the right looks like -- in desperation -- she's using one of the hanger straps to keep this thing even CLOSE to high enough, though it still wants a hoiking.
This whole effect is just so bizarre. I keep thinking she's like if Wendy Darling decided to crown herself Empress of Neverland by taking all their old nightclothes and going Pretty In Pink on them.

And here she looks like the bride's chair, all slipcovered for her reception in an expensive luxury barn.

I do have to give her top marks for attitude, though. If people aren't feeling the smile, then whatever, you do you. But when you're wearing a dramatically questionable outfit, what REALLY REALLY helps sell it is if you throw back your shoulders and hold your head high and smile like it's the most major Oscar de la Renta ball gown in the universe. Like, this is legit insane and yet Jaime is out there beaming with full pride.

I also appreciate that she went with a big necklace, Diane Lockhart-style. Nothing can save this dress for me, basically -- that anemic plastic strap! -- but, you know, silver linings.
