Julia Fox in Annakiki

SURPRISE. For reasons I do not understand, and which she did not explain on Instagram, Julia Fox appears to have decided this was a costume party, but didn't leave herself enough time to finish her KISS makeup. I forgot to download Norah O'Donnell, so please enjoy this photo of her with Julia, where the look in her eyes is very, "OKAY SMILE LOOK UNFAZED BUT WHAT IN THE HELL IS THIS."

Julia Fox

Also, her boobs were mashed like potatoes in this dress, it looked so painful. But I DO like her clotheshanger purse.

Angelica Ross in Jean-Louis Sabaji

I mean... THAT is how you make an impact.

Roy Wood Jr.

Roy looks so dapper. He hosted, which has to be nervewracking. My favorite lines of his are: "Tucker Carlson is out of the job. Some people celebrating. But to Tucker’s staff I want you to know that I know what you’re feeling. I work at “The Daily Show” so I, too, have been blindsided by the sudden departure of the host of a fake news program" and, speaking of CRT detractors, "You are trying to erase Black people and a lot of Black people wouldn’t mind some of that erasure as long as that Black person is Clarence Thomas."

Ke Huy Quan and Echo Quan

He looks classic, and she looks amazing. Making plaid cool again, if it needed a bump.

Chrissy Teigen in Georges Hobeika and John Legend

Nothing about this is super surprising -- their attendance, the fact that Chrissy's slit is high enough that her underwear is showing, and that it's translucent. It IS a weirdly sloppy dress for her, though. Let's write it off to post-partum uncertainty.

Rosario Dawson

Is this... some kind of front-bustle?

Ego Nwodim in Christian Siriano

Fabulous. I LOVE this on her.

Fran Drescher

Sure, why not! I appreciate all the silver sparkles.

Winnie Harlow (in Altuzarra) and Kyle Kuzma

At an event dubbed the Nerd Prom, I guess posing like a prom photo DOES make sense. I love her gown.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

Boring, but reliable. Her hair looks particularly nice right now.

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell

Didn't he REALLY want the job next to Kelly, back when Ryan Seacrest got it? Anyway! Her gown is pretty but I'm distracted by the glare coming off her boob cups.

J. Smith Cameron in Carolina Herrera

If I wanted ANYONE to take Waystar Royco, it might be Gerri? But I like the idea of Alexander Skarsgard running into the ground much better.

Lena Headey

I like her accessories. It'd be fun to see her back in action. Fantasy casting: Maybe... as an opponent to Keri Russell in The Diplomat?

Lala Kent (in Zac Posen), Lisa Vanderpump, and Ariana Madix

Ariana was at one end of the Vanderpump Rules scandal, and these two are probably... showing support? I don't know -- this is not my field of expertise. Everything I have learned about this has been against my will. But they all look nice. Lala's dress is dramatic and Ariana appears to be dressed as an angel, which makes sense, as she was the wronged party.

Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas

I don't LOVE the bodice on this? The construction looks busy, especially compared with the graceful flowing skirt.

Amy Landecker and Bradley Whitford

I keep wanting to uncover her other eye, but this is overall pretty slick.

Bel Powley in Huishan Zhang

That's super charming. She seems so excited.

Sophia Bush in Lanvin

I am fascinated by the ring she's wearing that appears to stretch over her middle and ring fingers? Her makeup also seems a little off, but that's a small note. She looks nice. It's accidentally a VERY similar dress to...

Karine Jean-Pierre in Bode

... the current WH Press Sec. She looks lovely. The accessories are fab, and I enjoy that they're blue, along party lines.

Olivia Nuzzi

This looks both hastily made AND hastily assembled.

Karen Travers

That pattern is gorgeous. Somebody pleased get this woman some metallic and/or fuchsia shoes.

Tamara Keith

This is a CLEAR and bold homage to Holly Hunter in Broadcast News. In fact, I Googled it after I started typing this slide, and found that she had it custom-made with that exact homage in mind. Love it.

Kristen Welker

This is fantastic, and while I know the yellow is just the wristband to gain her entry (or a free drink or whatever), how fortuitous that it also goes well.

April Ryan

Someone should have held her phone for her!

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

She's a Democratic rep from Texas, fighting the good fight in that dystopia. I love that she went for pattern and sparkle.

Kate Bolduan

I want to like this, but that one side just looks like a massive construction mistake.

Sen John Fetterman and Gisele Fetterman

I love her purse, and I really hope he's doing better.

Eugene Daniels

This is super and also I see that clutch, sir. Well done.

Nate Burleson

This is a good idea, in an unforgiving fabric.

Poppy Harlow

When we ask for transparency in media, this is not what we mean.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley

YES. That purse is everything. It's like the neck of a guitar.

Yulia Borisonova and Daria Navalnaya

This is Navalny's wife and daughter, attending on the heels of reports that his health is deteriorating. They look nice, and also I'm sure don't get a good night's sleep basically EVER and would trade this evening for quite a lot of things.

Jen Psaki

Sassy jumpsuit!

Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin (in Stella), Ana Navarro

All very respectable, although Ana needs some better lipstick.

Brittney and Cherelle Griner

I want Cherelle to have some big jewels! And sincerely... it's a miracle Brittney is back and able to rejoin a team and pursue the game she loves again. I hope she is feeling healthy and strong.

Evan Gershkovich

This is Evan's family, along with I believe some WSJ staffers. I wonder if they chatted with Brittney Griner a bunch -- although honestly they almost certainly already have.

Vivian Salema

And SCENE, and amen.

It's the Nerd Prom!

a.k.a. the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
