# While We Were Otherwise Occupied, Katie Holmes Wore Something Regrettable

This isn't profoundly nightmarish or anything -- put that glowing blurb on the side of a bus! -- but it's not particularly successful either. It just feels like a compilation of random accessories worn with my high school's "formal" uniform, a white dress that made us all look like 1950s nursing students (to the extent that one of my friends actually just wore said uniform when she was playing a nurse in *The Man Who Came to Dinner*, a costume reveal that did get a good chuckle from the audience). This was at an anniversary party for Mikimoto, the famous pearl company, so maybe she's...dressed like a pearl? A pearl in a moto jacket? That feels like a line from a country music song -- get on it, Katie! We know from *Dawson's Creek* that you can (kinda) sing! Let's do this!
