(Photo by Dominic Lipinski/Getty Images) I realize there is no CONTRACT that says you have to wear a British designer, and they indeed took "British" out of the event name, but there was a lot of talk from attendees about wanting to honor the homegrown talent and so I'm sort of surprised a big honoree of the evening wouldn't be wearing someone from the UK. \[JUST KIDDING, I am an idiot and forgot to look up the creative director of Ferragamo, who is indeed from Manchester! (Photo by Karwai Tang/WireImage) Valentino got the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award, and Anne attended with Giancarlo Giammetti on her arm and wearing a vintage piece that Giammetti said his partner designed while "thinking of spaghetti." It's certainly interesting workmanship, and Anne looks nice in it. She looks great in it, but I would believe it if you told me they built it on her body out of Kleenex.
