I realize there is no CONTRACT that says you have to wear a British designer, and they indeed took "British" out of the event name, but there was a lot of talk from attendees about wanting to honor the homegrown talent and so I'm sort of surprised a big honoree of the evening wouldn't be wearing someone from the UK. [JUST KIDDING, I am an idiot and forgot to look up the creative director of Ferragamo, who is indeed from Manchester! DISREGARD MEEEEE.] She looks great, though; no complaints.

Valentino got the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award, and Anne attended with Giancarlo Giammetti on her arm and wearing a vintage piece that Giammetti said his partner designed while "thinking of spaghetti." It's certainly interesting workmanship, and Anne looks nice in it. But...

This microdress makes her legs look 90 miles long. Sorry -- 144.8 kilometers. Her ENTIRE hand stretches below the hemline. It's teeny. She looks great in it, but I would believe it if you told me they built it on her body out of Kleenex. And then turned the boxes into her shoes.
