That being said, NONE of this is a mistake. Every single thing happening here is good.
This is VERY simple, but crazy elegant on her, and I am not kidding when I say that JLD sincerely makes me feel better about the aging process.
You may be surprised to hear that I actually LOVE this. But the heart wants what it wants, and mine always wants a cape.
Eh. I feel like this dress would look amazing on, say, Jane Fonda, but it feels too old for Taylor. And that is literally the only time in history someone has said that about freaking Zuhair Murad.
Uzo is making this somewhat goofy face in all of the photos we could get of her, so let's just pretend they caught her in the middle of telling some wacky story, and enjoy her sparkly dress.
I secretly love it. She looks so dramatic. She is totally going to sweep into this party, tell someone that she's having an affair with a highly unsuitable young man, steal a canape off said gobsmacked person's plate, and then ride off on an elephant.
I have not thought about Michelle Branch since the days of Trucker Hats and Uggs. I kind of like her dress, but those bracelets look like black electrical tape.
Despite my earlier whinging about the not-so-mighty peplum, I actually think this is lovely on her.
I would NOT have guessed this was Dolce & Gabbana; I WOULD have guessed that she time-traveled from my 8th grade dance .
She's adorable, and I don't actually dislike the dress OBJECTIVELY. It's just so heavy and dark and serious on her -- the wrong dress for her, specifically, I think. I wish she would have lightened it up with different styling, at the very least.
I love the olive-colored clutch, but I also might place a very small bet that this is on backwards.
Because why not.
