The sleeves, with cuffs that flop over her entire hand, are a little absurd to me -- it recalls how much my mother (and many like her, I'm sure) hated it when I would pull sweater sleeves down over my hands and clutch at them. Also, there's no way that wasn't hella irritating all night -- when drinking, eating, purse-rummaging, flushing, etc. In my experience, wrists don't need veils.
But to understand TRULY why I suddenly find this outfit hilarious, you need to see the originally designed version. The shirt did not have that giant black bar across the chest, so you can clearly see underboob on the model; in that context, is it not hugely amusing that Ashley's version effectively and symbolically censors her subcleav from making an appearance? She looks like when Glamour protects the innocent on its Fashion Don't pages.

I mean, I'm GLAD she protected herself, but it even LOOKS like a tube top (or a lazy tourniquet). One never wants a tube top to be so necessary. Tube tops shouldn't have power. They'll abuse it.

First let me say that Dakota is DELIGHTFUL on Ben and Kate, which I really enjoy. I blew someone's mind the other day by noting that she's the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith (not least because the first time around, I accidentally said, "Don Johnson and Antonio Banderas," which would be VERY dramatic and exciting indeed).
Next let me say WHAAAAAT.

I THINK this is a shirt and pants, rather than a jumpsuit? But oh my LORD, how unflattering that bra thing is on her. And how insulated those pants seem. They look like something self-heating astronaut food would cook in, if you pulled a tab. Friends don't let friends turn their groins into space-ovens.
