Saint Laurent's Anthony Vaccarello was inspired for this season by Paloma Picasso -- [and in particular, he said, a photo of her where she exited a theatre with the program tucked into her waistband](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2022-ready-to-wear/saint-laurent?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), which he echoed here with clutches. [Fashionista made me laugh](https://fashionista.com/2021/09/saint-laurent-spring-2022-collection?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) by describing "just shove it in your pants" as the perfect solution for when you're at a cocktail party, you want both your hands free for the drinks and the passed apps, and you don't want to pin your purse to your side or up in your armpit all night. Am I wrong to hope that catches on? Certainly, I'm rooting for that much harder than I am for all these catsuits.
