## Cheno, Joel Grey, Idina

Kristi Dawn Chenoweth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is 55 now, so she was 35 back then. I would have guessed 26, which was my age at this time. Maybe I'd even have gone younger. That whole outfit has The WB Network written all over it. Idina Kim Menzel of Manhattan was 32\. Joel David Katz of Ohio was 71\. He's still going at 91! Stay with us, Joel, you treasure. Can someone write him and Rita Moreno a new show called *Bubble Wrap Your Elders*?

These two were about 10 months into married life. I like to imagine the two of them at home practicing for this, with him trying to do all of Cheno's parts in their duets.

A STILA crossover! I had to look up whether Stila still exists, and it absolutely does. (It was founded by Anthony Edwards's ex-wife! Was Stila a gift to us all from Goose, from the great beyond?) Anyway, this ensemble also very much screams 2003.

AS DOES THIS ONE. She was 35 and Hilary Duff would have been 16 and they BOTH embraced this exact aesthetic. For some reason that's hilarious to me, even though I'm not trying to argue that women of any age can't embrace trends. It just... honestly, but for the shirt and the sneakers, which would have been strappy heels, this could have been a Hilary Duff Halloween costume.

I know she claims she didn't expect to win, because it's Elphaba's story in her mind, but I think SURELY she had to think she had a shot. This is a very IT MIGHT BE MY NIGHT kind of frock... but then again, I could see picking a different dress if you really thought you'd have to march up any stairs.
