This is all quite appropriate. We don't have an ID on this yet -- I suspect by the time the post goes up, there will be one; I have A Thing to do today and so I am writing this earlier than usual -- but my guess is it's Catherine Walker. (Feel free to update me on this in the comments.) It's pretty! It's not my own personal flavor of jam, exactly, but it seems Highly Suitable for this event.

CHAZ HAS ARRIVED. I enjoy that this pic gives the sense that he is saying, "THERE SHE IS. MY FAVORITE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY AND THE BEST ONE OF US ALL," and Wills is just like "HELLO! I'm right here, and she ought to be wearing grey shoes."

"He really likes me!" Let me pop Informative Caption in here, as this esteemed gentleman next to Kate seems to be imploring me to be more serious: "The Prince of Wales, accompanied by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and The King and Queen of the Belgians attend a memorial service at the Commonwealth War Graves Commisions’s Tyne Cot Cemetery."  (That link goes to its Wiki page, which is quite interesting. I suggest giving it a quick read if you have the time. We Americans, in particular, are generally not that well educated on WWI - I think in part because we haven't made as many movies about it, but also because we entered it rather late in the game compared to WWII. I also think that for people who are about my age, WWII feels more familiar because our grandparents lived though it, and so it came up in conversation more. Anyway, history is interesting.)

"And she keeps muttering something about how she's laid the perfect trap to catch the perfect killer. Does that make any sense to you, Kate? I am beginning to worry she's gone 'round the bend."

YPRES, BELGIUM - JULY 31: (L-R) Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, King Philippe of Belgium, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Prime Minister Theresa May and Belgian Minister of Defence Steven Vandeput during a ceremony at the Commonwealth War Graves Commisions's Tyne Cot Cemetery on July 31, 2017 in Ypres, Belgium. Here, it looks like Chaz and Philippe are talking about Charles's wily hangnails, Kate and Mathilde are rapturously discussing lace, and Wills and Theresa May have somehow fallen into conversation about a subject neither of them have any interest in. (That's Belgian Minister of Defence Steven Vandeput on May's other side.)

The more I look at Kate's outfit, the more I like it. The hem is very pretty. Mathilde looks...fine, but I am concerned about HER hem. I'm sure it's just the fabric, but something about her skirt reminds me of a paper bag. (She is nicely coordinated with Charles, though.)

As you can see, the pattern goes all the way around. (I cannot figure out if the person in this grave is named T.O. Bieber, Tobieber, or T. O'Bieber, but I think we can all agree that I am very mature and respectful to refrain from mentioning any other Bieber that might pop to mind.)

These are paper (or perhaps cardboard) poppies on the hill, with people's names written on them. All these memorial events have been so poignant and beautiful.
