The Duke is Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, which is home to Typhoon Sqns, who currently deploy to Cyprus in support of Op SHADER. RAF Marham have 31 Squadron, who are also contributing to OP SHADER. The event is being supported by The Royal British Legion in recognition of the unique contribution and sacrifices Serving personnel and their families make year round, and especially when they are separated during the festive period. The support of their families and loved ones is vital not only when personnel are serving, but through transition, recovery and civilian life after service, and The Royal British Legion ensures that those family members are supported in return. Kate's skirt is so effing festive, I can't stand it. As has been discussed here at length, I am -- as they say -- mad for plaid and, uh, heartin' for tartan (wow, that does NOT work). For your shopping pleasure, there [are about a million versions of this skirt available on Etsy right now.](https://rstyle.me/n/dc2h6dcfjyp?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) I also like those slouchy boots, which feel cooler than Kate's usual footwear and which ergo deserve some love. (I don't have a credit for them yet.) ## Wills and Kate Get VERY FESTIVE ![Prince William Kate Christmas Party](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/12/shutterstock_10013427m-1543946541.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Tim Rooke/REX/Shutterstock (10013427m) Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge host lunch for military personnel, London, UK - 04 Dec 2018 Their Royal Highnesses will host a Christmas party in London for families and children of deployed personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham serving in Cyprus. As we admire the very photogenic fake snow that's even been arranged, I present to you...Informative Caption, which is always in the incorrect tense for my purposes, which makes me mildly bonkers: "Their Royal Highnesses will host a Christmas party in London for families and children of deployed personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham serving in Cyprus. I just want to note that Kate's hair is doing that thing where I basically just want my own head to look like it 100% of the time and it does not. ## Wills and Kate Get VERY FESTIVE ![Prince William Kate Christmas Party](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/12/shutterstock_10013607d-1543946583.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by REX/Shutterstock (10013607d) Catherine Duchess of Cambridge at a Christmas party held at Kensington palace for families and children of deployed personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham serving in Cyprus Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge host lunch for military personnel, London, UK - 04 Dec 2018 The Duke is Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, which is home to Typhoon Sqns, who currently deploy to Cyprus in support of Op SHADER. Look at all these jolly sweaters! I feel like Wills missed a real opportunity to wear a festive holiday pullover. Perhaps one that lights up? There's still time, William. It's only December 4th. ## Wills and Kate Get VERY FESTIVE ![Prince William Kate Christmas Party](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/12/shutterstock_10013607c-1543946568.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by REX/Shutterstock (10013607c) Prince William sits with Spencer Best aged 5 years as they make chocolate truffles at a Christmas party held at Kensington palace for families and children of deployed personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham serving in Cyprus Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge host lunch for military personnel, London, UK - 04 Dec 2018 The Duke is Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, which is home to Typhoon Sqns, who currently deploy to Cyprus in support of Op SHADER.
