I like this dress! It falls securely into my wheelhouse of The Extremely Reasonable Day Dress in a Jaunty Color. (Although I personally own a lot of Unreasonable Day Dresses in Ridiculous Patterns, including one covered in tigers and one covered in sunglasses.) I do, as, ever, wish her shoes were more interesting but I've kind of been beaten into submission on that front. (But seriously, wouldn't these have been perfect with it?! KATE JUST THINK ABOUT IT.)

We had a chat yesterday about how Kate is allegedly VERY CHATTY at these things and is always running late because she's talking to too many people, and, truly, I've never felt closer to her.  Also: I feel like she rarely wears hoop earrings -- my ostensible reason for pulling this photo.
