# Wills and Kate Take Paris, Day One (In Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham)

Wills and Kate are in Paris for a quick trip ([we covered their arrival -- and Will's Dad Dancing in Verbier -- earlier on Friday](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/wills-and-kate-celebrate-st-pattys-day-head-off-to-france-pretend-everything-is-fine-03-2017/)), primarily to take in a rugby game and presumably smuggle home some contraband brie.

Also, lots of social media stuff. First off, this is a very dramatic image:

Kate's dress is, naturally, Jenny Packham. As for tonight's meal: WHAT A HIDEOUS BALLROOM:

This whole trip appears to be setting up to be quite gilded, in fact:

Here's Kate's first look of the night, a lace McQueen cocktail frock, in motion. I like it in movement MUCH better than I do when she's standing still:

Whoever they hired to take over the KP social media, at least, is doing a great job. I lost several minutes to their Instagram stories this afternoon. This is a super short jaunt -- they've back in the UK on Sunday -- but it's nice to the official channels, at least, are committed to bringing us pics. Slide through the slideshow for more, if that floats your boat. I don't know your life.
