Much shenanigans occurred in the Emilia Wickstead Boob Flap Gown, including the cooking of dosas (by Wills). The dress has kind of grown on me here. It's unfortunate, it's really bad timing, I also wish it would stop happening, and I feel like we've all said all there is to say about Skirt Flappery in its many incarnations. The crazy thing is, when I saw this dress originally -- and, again, here -- I would have bet that the skirt actually WAS weighted, because it looks like it. Maybe when Kate made her deal with the gods to assure her ascension to throne, the price they extracted from her was Punishment By Ill-Timed Gusts No Man Can Defeat. Yes. I'VE CRACKED THIS. At last! Someone call the Palace. We just need a powerful witch who can reason with the four winds, who's also a monarchist, and who doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and we'll get this sorted, spit spot. It's mostly me storming off in a huff in the middle of the night, though. THIS is basically your real post. And now that I've had time to live with it, I don't hate Kate's Boob Flaps on her first look of the day as much as I did last night, although I still think they are a mistake. Last night, I hated them with a raging, boiling passion and this morning, it's more of a dull simmer of irritation. It helps that she wore her second look of the day to a birthday party (for the Queen) wherein a cake was cut with a sword, and said second look was GREAT.
