I would just like to send out a blanket thank you to everyone in the UK on the subject of Kate's shoes: I appreciate that they are not beige. Are they rather matchy? Yes. Is this a step closer to true Shoe Dominance and, perhaps, a pattern? Yes. Can I call this a win? Yes. I am not sure what is happening here -- Information Caption was not so Informative -- but I assume that later Kate and Peng Liyuan got into a polite but pointed argument over which of them would have looked better in that headpiece at the State Dinner.
