She has the most consistently inconsistent style -- she and Andrea Riseborough are cut from the same cloth in that way, for me -- and ergo I am delighted whenever I know she's turning up at something, because it will be a wildly unpredictable appearance. Here she is dressed as the proprietress of a Harlequin-themed beer hall.

And both of them are DELIGHTED by this.

Claire even had a good time by herself. (But a better time with everyone else, as you'll see.) I rather like her dress, but as much as I LAUD the dark pedi, am I right in thinking that the boots from the runway were the better choice?

Claire is so pleased to see Ben that she's doing the limbo under an imaginary stick. (I DO quite like her shoes. I just think the boots looked so polished on the catwalk.)

And now it's Ben's turn to be delighted. Everyone at this premiere showed off all their dental work.

"NEARLY everyone," thought Sarah Polley, as she resolved to keep her teeth to herself.

"ALL RIGHT, fine, you got me, here are my pearlies." (I also need to give props to her makeup artist for finding, or making, a lipstick that goes perfectly with her great blouse.)

If there is such a thing as a mirth hangover, this might be it.
