This is just the cutest. I love all of them. This is a great photo; I just spent several minutes looking at the people in the crowd, too. Delightful.

I downloaded a lot of photos of Alysa. I'm so happy for her and proud of her!!! This was A GREAT program -- it's the one she skated for the World Championship last year -- and it's just so joyous. More people need to skate to disco. Less "Carmen," more Donna Summer. (This Olympics had TWO Donna Summer routines, which is RIGHT.)

I've read so many quotes from other skaters -- not just Americans -- who are delighted to see someone who is clearly just here doing this for the love actually win. Let this be a sea change in skating!!

Also, this outfit is adorable and perfect for this skate.

Dress like the medal you want! Go Bruins!

## Alysa Liu of Team United States, Short Program

And her short program is so ethereal and light. Someone in the chat said they love this skate but also her costume could work if you were skating as a chic mummy (as in The Mummy, not a British parent) and that makes me laugh.

## Kaori Sakamoto of Team Japan, Free Skate

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/02/GettyImages-2262043236-1771705577.jpg)

I LOVE Kaori. Remember when she was the only person in 2022 to congratulate the actual winner because all the other Russians were crashing out? She is a treasure. This is a very elegant look for a very elegant free skate. My heart broke for her when she cried.

## Kaori Sakamoto of Team Japan, Short Program

Both of these costumes kept getting caught up on themselves, but they're extremely pretty.

## Ami Nakai of Team Japan, Free Skate

She's only 17 and this is appropriately, as someone put it in the chat, princess-y.

And this is CUTE. I would wear this as regular clothing. (Less sequins, probably, though.) Additionally: Props to the top three women for their excellent achievement in the ponytail arts. So bouncy!

This was when Alysa came over and congratulated Ami on getting her bronze and also helped clarify for her that she DID get a medal (if I read their exchange correctly, Ami was a little confused because she came in 9th in the free skate). It was REALLY sweet.

Here's a piano picture for everyone!

## Mone Chiba of Team Japan, Free Skate

The Japanese women's team is SO strong, finishing 2-4\. Amazing. This is a Romeo and Juliet skate and her costume is just right for that...

...and this is to "Last Dance" and that IS when you use feathers! (It was especially apt because she WAS the final skater of the short program.)

## Amber Glenn of Team USA, Free Skate

I love Amber and her free skate was just amazing; what redemption! Finishing 12th after the short program and climbing back into 5th is exceptional work.

I remember when I saw her nail this program at Nationals -- she skated out in this and I thought, "what is she wearing? She better be skating to Madonna." Readers, she was.

## Adeliia Petrosian, Free Skate

Russia's Adeliia Petrosian was an "unaffiliated athlete" due to the Russia ban -- she is coached by Eteri, the villain of the skating world, and you can tell because Eteri LOVES a short glove.

Here's my thought: If you are skating to Michael Jackson in this day and age, at least have the decency to respect that he only wore ONE GLOVE. (Also, this program needs like 60% MORE "Billie Jean.")

## Niina Petrokina of Team Estonia, Free Skate

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2026/02/GettyImages-2262067455-1771705620.jpg)

Yes, this routine is to music from "Dune" and I think it has too much seafoam green for the topic. (But yay for Estonia for doing so well! She skated great.)

I kinda love this one. It's DRAMATIC. However, I want someone to mail Estonia some more transparent skating tights; these are so weirdly colored. Hook a girl up!

## Lee Hae-in of Team Korea, Free Skate

Of COURSE this was skated to "Carmen." She dies dramatically at the end.

For some reason, I don't remember this skate AT ALL. Was I....out of the room??? I don't know. But looking it up, [I discovered that she has a lot of drama on her Wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee%5FHae-in%5F%28figure%5Fskater%29?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#2024%E2%80%932025%5Fseason:%5FAllegations,%5Ftemporary%5Fsuspension,%5Fand%5Freturn%5Fto%5Fcompetition). There's ...a lot to unpack there and I feel like we might not have the whole story.

## Anastasiia Gubanova of Team Georgia, Free Skate

I would not have guessed that two different skaters would skate to the music from *Ghost: The Musical*.

The back of this was divisive in the chat; I think it's neat? It's hard to tell here, but it's faces.

And it's a little hard to tell here, but she IS wearing a bindi. This is a Bollywood program and it is...problematic to me. When I first saw her in this costume, I thought she was skating as Nicole Kidman in *Moulin Rouge* and that would be SO MUCH BETTER.

## Sofia Samodelkina of Team Kazakhstan, Free Skate

I don't remember this one either but she looks VERY reasonable and good for Team Kazakhstan for having such a great showing.
