As I noted in the piece we wrote for Cosmo -- this is a lot of look. A LOT. I think she's pulling it off, but barely, and if it were anyone else, I'd surely advise that the top and the bottom go their separate ways in different ensembles. (I THINK it's a skirt and top; I'm not advising she take the shears to it.)

Yara changed at some point during the evening, and this is totally cute, but it might not be zingy *enough.* I might agitate for a look between this and her red carpet one, ultimately? Let's discuss.

## Tracee Ellis Ross in Rosie Assoulin

All that being said: This rocks. It's like a glam robe she managed to pull off as evening wear. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.

[Yara Shahidi and Tracee Ellis Ross Do Not Phone It In at the MTV Movie AwardsAs usual, they look pretty dang fabulous.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2017/05/gettyimages-680110766_master-1494211900.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/yara-shahidi-and-tracee-ellis-ross-do-not-phone-it-in-at-the-mtv-movie-awards-05-2017/)
