This is the earliest photo we had of her, from Princess Charlene's wedding to Prince Albert in 2011. We all needed to revisit the hat and the pearls, and the confidence of wearing both brown (a rarity) AND those booties (which I don't like, but it's definitely a shoe choice with chutzpah).

I am not into this canvas color, OR satin, OR generally mixing hues so that one might look dirty compared to the other... and yet I think this looks very glamorus on her. Such is the apparent magic of this lady. No wrinkles in her skirt. Was she airlifted there!?

There are starlets half her age who could learn from this.

AND parts of this. I don't love the shoes, but the coiled bracelet AND the fact that she's using a real live watch as an accessory... both of those work. She had the watch in the previous slide, too...

... and here it is again. She loves a watch, as you'll see. Is she a spokesperson for a particular one, or is she just One Of Us -- as in, a person who does not lose interest in knowing the time just because she's at a fancy party? (It's gone from being practical to also being a way to avoid getting sucked into looking at your phone.)

Obviously, you know the note I have on the shoes (a simple metallic would have been FINE, and not hard to source), but the overall look here is glamorous as hell. She is GLOWING.

I like this dress, but I REALLY like the necklace she paired with it.

And again, there are people who could learn from this: simple cut, lovely color and pattern, perfectly fitted, everyone shines.

I forgot she featured in Star Trek: Discovery. Is she still in it? Is it still happening? I haven't been able to bring myself to pay for CBS All Access. Not even with The Good Fight apparently being awesome, although that's been highly tempting.

This is a groovy look. I don't unequivocally love the hair, but I do applaud that it's different and funky. Even the sheer tier(s) at the tail end of this don't bother me.

I don't like this bodice as much, but she still looks pretty damned fabulous. Actually, I think another part of my issue is that it's not the nicest pale-blue color and it almost looks faded. Michelle herself is doing her level best with it, but...

That's a better blue AND a better -- albeit casual, obviously -- outfit. And no, I'm not just saying that because Henry Golding is here.

Everyone has to have one thud in their repertoire. We can at least admire the handbag?

This is a demi-thud. Put your hand over the bottom half, and you have Michelle Yeoh looking foxy as hell in a leather jacket. Having said THAT, while I don't like the sheer skirt, somehow she is ALSO doing THAT trend better than a lot of starlets half her age.

Double-breasted suits are hard, but HOW great is this one. The super trendy shoes are clunky for my personal tastes but I do think she was right to swing for something cool.

I MEAN. Sunglasses make everyone hotter. Even Michelle Yeoh, who at 56 needs no help in that department.
