This is an annual post for us -- see [2018](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/earth-day-04-2018/), [2019](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-its-earth-day-04-2019/), [2020](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-its-still-earth-day-04-2020/), [2021](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-earth-day-04-2021/), [2022](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-happy-belated-earth-day-04-2022/), and[ 2024](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/your-afternoon-chat-happy-earth-day-04-2024/) (I apparently dropped the ball in 2023, I'm sorry!) -- and I have to confess that I almost didn't write it this year because I'm real depressed about the state of the earth right now. But then I decided that throwing up my hands and being like, "welp, there's nothing we can do anymore" is not helpful, and maybe someone in Fug Nation *does* have useful and interesting suggestions and/or thoughts -- or at least won't be as much of a bummer as I am. So, over to you!
