# Your Afternoon Chat: What Weird, Useful Thing Have You Recently Bought?

I always like hearing about what weird tiny things have made your lives better, or easier -- like, say, [this doohickey that really lets you fill up a bathtub](https://amzn.to/3jqXLmV?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- and I suspect that the pandemic has only brought more weird useful things into our lives. For example, I am now a person who owns [a (sort of chic) Lucite thingie that I use to push buttons on elevators](https://rstyle.me/+KfwPkN4i4id%5Fd7%5FNFD59Kw?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and ATM pads so I don't get people's gross finger germs on my own hands. I am now also a person who has [a little portable air purifier](https://amzn.to/3jqXqAF?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and, finally, also a person who has [a funky chain on her reading glasses](https://rstyle.me/+nddjR-WuDkeaDY4qYys10A?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) because she got sick of muttering, "where did I put my glasses" approximately 600 times a day.
