That jacket is also interesting. I enjoy, too, that Daveed apparently holds a record as Broadway's fastest rapper, and it makes me really happy that such a statistic exists.

We covered the Hamilton gig at the White House already, but I hadn't gotten a good look at Daveed's bow tie. I actually still can't tell precisely what it is, but the melange of shapes and colors seems very him. Which I can tell because we're so close now, after writing this slideshow.

Lots of accolades have been slung the way of the performers in Hamilton, but let's also give a hearty cheer for the people who cast the show. Like, the whole group who participated in finding these actors, auditioning them, matching them to the right roles... Lin knew a lot of them from out and about, including Daveed, but still. A lot of smart people did a lot of smart work here to put the correct parts in the hands of the correct souls.
