Last time we met our heroes, they...oh, wait. Are we counting the second movie as the last time we met our heroes? Because all I remember about that movie is that Mulder and Scully kissed in a rowboat and his facial hair was taking over his entire face. Is she back in the FBI?

I'd argue that BOTH of these people are in the FBI, and, in fact, my suspicion -- I know nothing! -- is that McHale here is Scully's very tall and handsome new partner, which makes me wonder: WHERE IS DOGGETT? He BETTER be living in Vermont, tending to John and Walter's House of Pies.

It is a relief to see Scully in her red-headed glory; it is a relief that Duchovs looks exactly the same, if a bit like the Hand Model Conspiracy Theorist he played in Zoolander.

They've started filming the new episode of The X-Files in Vancouver, and I thought you might want to be reminded of what Scully's Skeptical Face looks like. Let's also talk about her outfit (it's good) and what we think is happening in this episode (with bonus appearance from Joel McHale), and the fact that I can't believe this is happening again. Also, "I can't believe this is happening again" seems like a decent tagline to replace "trust no one" if Chris Carter wants one. (Also, thank god my TWoP recaps of The X-Files are online at Brilliant But Cancelled because (a) I'm probably going to want to reference them when I recap the new episodes here and (b) OMG I really don't remember ANY of the myth-arc anymore, so I'm also going to have to re-read them to remember what the hell even happened the last time we saw these yahoos.)
