I like this SO much better than the milquetoast, half-baked thing from yesterday. That felt retro without personality; this has MASSIVE zing. And the dress is has very pretty elements, but it's also a TRIFLE shapeless, so I honestly think taking it in a costumey direction is smart. On its own, it could be a bit of an ombre blob, but now she's making it look like she's about to break out into "Lovin' You." And she's drawn focus to her face AGAIN even though it's a busy gown and a dramatic wig. As if your eye wants to settle naturally in the middle.

This loses me a bit when I see it's patchy from the side, though. I don't think this needs ANOTHER element.

Her self-assurance -- it bears repeating -- is ASTONISHING. In her speech, she talked about fashion giving people, and her and Law specifically, a way to spotlight different kinds of beauty and take big chances with big ideas. They clearly excel at that, and Zendaya glows with the best of them.
