There is a grainy feel to several of these photos that is a little distracting, at times? I like the idea of this tall, strong, dominating pose, but also wonder if the background competes with it too much. It's a COOL background, though? It is hard to pull focus from Zendaya, but... is it doing that, a bit?

This photo is so sexy. I don't even think it needed all those abs.

ANTM would call this Broken-Down Doll.

She looks a bit like a rich boxer's girlfriend or something, strolling around a casino pool in Las Vegas in December on the night of the big fight.

She is VERY good at connecting with the camera.

Very very good. But so very SHINY in this shot.

I can't tell what the overall creative plan was for this shoot. Was it just... ferocity?

Goddamn, though -- the way the shape and slant of her arm and her body mirrors that of the pool ladder? She makes this look easy, but it's not, and it's my favorite.

[Zendaya's Splashy Elle Cover Was Clearly Planned Pre-StrikeNot that I'm complaining.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2023/08/elle-sept-2023-cover-1692847110.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/zendayas-splashy-elle-cover-was-clearly-planned-pre-strike-08-2023/)
