I think this is gorgeous. Elegant, playful, and showy in all the right ways. It reminds me of [the Carolina Herrera that Mandy Moore wore to the Emmys](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/the-cast-of-this-is-us-at-the-2017-emmys/69th-annual-primetime-emmy-awards-arrivals-18?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), which I loved, but was a bit divisive; I wonder if the tiers here being cut on a zig-zag will solve some of what people didn't dig about that one.

I also just love the shots of her on the staircase. She looks like she's on the actual expensive version of the new *Dynasty*, coming down the stairs partway and then stopping to sneer, "We meet again, Mr. Carrington... or should I say DAD."

It was snowing at this event, which looks perfectly lovely to me, although I realize that people who are snowed in somewhere right now will be like, "SHUT IT, LOS ANGELES." In my defense, we are on fire. Can we all just freaking split the difference on our weather?!? Also: super coat, which seems to be there mostly for actual coat-like warmth and not as a fashion statement. Not sure about the paper-bag-waisted skirt, but the coat wins, so.

She wore this to take what LOOKS like a fairly gigantic musical number for James Corden, but honestly, she looks adorable in it and could wear it regularly anytime and the only question I would have is the same one I do now: WHAT is on the tie?
