Here we are again, at another Friday. I hope your weekend plans are robust and thrilling. (Or cozy and chill. Whatever you like.) Just as a heads up, over the weekend, we’re going to be switching over website hosts (and CMS!), so if you come by and things look janky or something seems weird — it will be (ideally) temporary. You can read more about that here! It's going to be an improvement all around. (Knock on wood.)
At Drinks With Broads this week: Heather recapped the finale of this season (and maybe forever?? Who knows) of Ted Lasso. Heather also saw Digger and didn't hate it, and Chris Harrison is getting sued (not related). Also, we examine the new trailer for The Gilded Age, and dissect a 25-year-old Blind Item -- plus we're getting more Girls.
Here at GFY, I finally turned my attention to SWEATER WEATHER. Our three best-sellers this past week were (1) The Quince Jeans!! These are a behemoth! BaubleBar's sparkly skeleton earrings! (It IS spooky season.) And a new bombshell has entered the villa: This J.Crew men's madras blazer, which I continue to think would absolutely work on someone who is not a man.
Everyone looks great on the set of the new Mummy movie. I really loved the first one.

I was on the Inez website looking for some heels -- I LOVE these and wear them all the time, but wanted something lower heeled -- and unfortunately fell in love with a slightly less practical option. These block heel Mary Janes remind me of the early 90s so powerfully. I had a pair just like this when I was in college! Of course my size is sold out. (Although lots of sizes remain.) I also had these boots in the 90s (this is a compliment) and wore them constantly. And these -- again, this is a positive -- were all over Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I am very ready for the knee-high boot revival.
An interesting -- and very long, it's in The New Yorker -- piece about Waymo.

Heads up that Macy's is having their big fall sale right now. I feel like this is the best time to get sheets and towels and whatnot if you need need to replenish.
There's also a big sale at The Gap. This pullover reminds me of that iconic Christmas sweater -- you know the one.
I've been wearing these all summer and they're marked down now. (I love the lavender option, too.)
The NYT wonders, Do You Have ‘Purpose Anxiety’? I have all the anxieties.
This new Narnia movie looks really good to me. At the very least, I trust Greta Gerwig not to disrespect her source materials.
PSA that we have a code for Tata Harper right now --DWB20 gets you 20% off. They just released a lot of their holiday gift sets if you're organized enough to be thinking about that right now. And I've been using this mask in the shower lately and I really like it.
