It's time for another giveaway! I am delighted that we have a signed copy of the newest book from Julie Buxbaum (who wrote Tell Me Three Things, and What to Say Next, among other books). She's a great writer, and I cannot wait to start this one; I hear it is fantastic.
Here's the synopsis of Hope and Other Punchlines:
Now, fifteen years later, Abbi is desperate for anonymity and decides to spend the summer before her seventeenth birthday incognito as a counselor at Knights Day Camp two towns away. She's psyched for eight weeks in the company of four-year-olds, none of whom have ever heard of Baby Hope.
Too bad Noah Stern, whose own world was irrevocably shattered on that terrible day, has a similar summer plan. Noah believes his meeting Baby Hope is fate. Abbi is sure it's a disaster. Soon, though, the two team up to ask difficult questions about the history behind the Baby Hope photo. But is either of them ready to hear the answers?
THE TASK: We have one signed copy to give away. As usual, I’ll be picking the winner at random. It seems tonally inappropriate for me to think of a whimsical prompt for a novel that has a 9/11 backstory so instead, I'll ask you to enter by telling us what you had for lunch. (Lunch is always appropriate.)
THE RULES: All entries must be posted in the comments of this post by 9 p.m. Pacific time on Friday. FYI, if this is the first time you’ve commented here, the system will automatically kick you into comment moderation, but don’t worry, I will rescue you. (Open to US readers only; all prizing courtesy of the author. GFY uses affiliate links when appropriate — like the one to Amazon in this post — which means we earn a little money when you click through and/or buy stuff. Thank you!)
