200 years ago, when I was young, Prada had a collection that I was obsessed with. It was all ladylike coats and these amazing doctor bags --- structured and shiny. I remember being in Vegas on vacation that year -- maybe 2000? It was before 9/11, at any rate -- and wandering past the Prada storefront a thousand times, just to admire the bags. Swoonworthy, truly. I don't remember any party dresses in the collection -- just a green coat I lusted for, and those bags -- but this feels emotionally related to it in a way that makes me happy. Having said that: How do we feel about the trim on the top of the bodice? I originally wanted to rip it off, but the angel on my shoulder feels that might render the whole thing a little boring, and to resist destruction. Thoughts?
