This dress is fine -- although heavily bridal -- and I'm relieved (sort of?) that she didn't wear it with the pants that were shown with it on the runway:
Having said that, I'm sort of bummed she didn't wear it with the SHOES that were shown with the runway version. Not because I'm deeply enamoured of them -- although they are interesting and I think they'd at least feel fresh and youthful here? -- as much as because they do not look like a broken ankle circa 2007 waiting to happen. You can RUN in the original shoes; the platform hooves will plunge you sideways into a hedge, at best. It'd be one thing if they were platform WEDGES -- perilous but fairly stable -- but these heels lull you into a false sense of security and the next thing you know, you're in a hole. Save yourself, youths!
