This is empirically very pretty. It's a tiny bit without personality, from the front, but it has a flare -- thus, some flair! -- in the back. And you might wonder why Jennifer Lopez would pick a dress with an interesting shape that you van't see from this angle, and there is a very simple answer...

... and it is, she chose for the canoodle. It's selected so that Ben's hand would sit just-so and her dress would poof out under it, and it would add fashion and visual interest to the zillions of cuddling photos we got of them on the red carpet. Not a criticism. J.Lo knows what she's doing. She's not new. (I WOULD like to see her do her free skate to "Dear Ben" in this outfit._

Ben seems a little tired. I assume it's because they're up late arguing about who the worst person on "And Just Like That" turned out to be. (Actually he was probably just up early for Oscar nominations, just in case.)

Remember A.Rod? Yeah, no one else does, either. What a feat.

I love this crazy coat, I am not wild about his pants pooling around his ankles, and I absolutely want to know what he is plotting. I feel that it involves a pulling a prank on Pitbull's yacht.

Kat is the director. That is a very pretty black pump, and as much as I always think celebs with stylists can go more interesting than that sometimes, it IS good to have one with a pretty shape, and I love the twinkly gold heel there. But this outfit feels a little Early Blake Lively to me.

Chloe is 13 (you may know her from Big Little Lies, or Gunpowder Milkshake) and I like that she's playing around with her aesthetic in a way that still allows her to be a kid.

I cannot hold this person in my head; I keep having to look her up. She's a "social media personality" who has become a model, and perhaps this sentence in her Wikipedia is why I keep blocking her out: "She became a social media phenomenon at 15, when photos of her in a black string bikini posing by the pool went viral on Tumblr." At fifteen. This has a creepy vibe to it (not on her part). This level of minimalism is always surprising to me even though it's been creeping back -- this whole look is very Kate Moss to me.
