So, apparently, now that the sun isn't shining and thus no one can go stand in it, Shondaland needs to make a new phrase happen. Unfortunately, they chose "little bitch baby," an epithet Connor spat at Michaela in episode two of How To Get Away With

Someone crawls out of the basement, someone drops from the top, and Peter gets his knickers handed to him. So yeah, BIG DOINGS here on the Power Suit Rankings. But let's begin with a beloved old friend. 21. Joe Jr. You might remember this strapping lad from While

This episode is the fall finale, and yes, we find out who killed Sam -- and yes, most of these screengrabs are terrible because it was all in murky lighting, and YES, there is an irritating over-reliance on replaying the bits and bobs we've already seen so that

My scribbled notes for Shonda Rhimes shows are always so crabby. Like, for Scandal: "Flashback to her explaining the idea UGH WE KNOW WASTE OF TIME." And this episode had "COME ON" written all over the place. We begin with them zooming in on Lila'

Oh, great. Another episode about heresy. But also ghosts, curses, incest, making out, Francis kicking Mary back to Scotland, and slapping so....on the whole, not a total loss? We begin with the return of Princess Claude. She's another bizarrely clothed woman, and the actress is kind of

This week RAYNA DOES SOMETHING HUGELY QUESTIONABLE. I can't believe it. Do I dare to trust it will have actual emotional fallout? Also, we got a new song this week, and... I thought the whole point of Rayna's new album was a fresh sound and creative

Just for fun -- as an experiment -- I've decided to do this recap as a ranking, somewhat a la The Good Wife. In this case, it's a Suck Index, although that's rather blunt so maybe it's just a Worst of the Week scale.

"Stop acting like this is about you becoming a better person." "Just tell me what to do." The former was said by Eli, to Alicia, and the latter -- in a later scene -- by her to him. And I think they might mark a real shift in

In which Megan Follows continues to be a treasure, and the writers really let her rip in this episode (which I think was the best of the season to date). Canada, I thank you for her. Anyway, this episode opens, AS DOES EVERY EPISODE OF REIGN, with TERRIBLE DISASTER: In

It's episode seven out of 15 for this show, and I'm already REALLY getting weary of green-tinged flashbacks and MUUURDER. Which is not a great sign. Rebecca Sutter is also tired of it all, but that might be because this pork blood facial she tried

This week, Scandal doesn't mess around -- it just cuts straight to the chase: There is no lead-up to the wine. There is just wine. We begin with wine. Wine is the alpha of this show, and someday, when it ends, the last shot should be Olivia in

I like Cary and Alicia's relationship, but I almost wonder if this whole season is one long Cary Agos swan song somehow. Because he's being dumped on relentlessly, and it's gotten to the point where he's so downtrodden, I'm not

This week, Asher gets the spotlight, and a chance to do something other than mugging. He is kind of the annoying baby brother of the Pretty Little Lawyers: jumpy and nipping at your heels, all bluster and peacocking but really just a kid who wants someone to acknowledge him as

PICTURE IT: You've got a show on The CW, about intrigue at the 16th century French court, full of hot young actors possessed of various levels of skill with a British accent. You have low ratings. As you head into your second season, do you decide to pump

This show is getting better, but seriously, "Rayna Is Happy About Her CMA Nominations But What Does It Mean For Her Artistically?" is not a storyline. When your main character has nothing to do with why your show is improving, it's not the best sign. Juliette
