There is just a whole lot going on here. A lot of look, a lot of lace, and a LOT for one photograph, so let's divide them.

This is easily the worst of them both, I think. The criss-crossing of the lace make it look like someone is pushing her shoulders down, or she's REALLY slouching or slope-y, or something. The rest of it just looks like Embellishment Jail, and the sleeves just sorta frost the whole freaky cake.

This actually has lovely, lovely bones. The problem is the boning. I don't want to see it, and I think it's looking pinchy. It just... I like it when dresses don't distract me with the hows. It's so nice when they feel liquid and floaty and flowy and fluid, rather than pieced together, and this definitely has the latter feel. Plus the lace and the taupe and the ruffles veers so nightgown-y. As does the minty color.

And, the gaps between ruffles seem like they want you to wonder if you're going to peep anything through there. I don't know. Like I said: a beautiful idea that just veered a little unfinished for me.
