Thom Browne Debuted at Couture Week With What Felt Like His Greatest Hits

The coolest thing Thom Browne did was put the audience on the stage at his couture venue, and then raise a curtain to reveal an audience full of black-and-white cardboard cutouts. the rest... if it wasn't stuff we've seen before, it certainly felt like it. I suppose the point was to introduce the brand to the world of couture, and in that sense, the pleats and the wild windblown wigs and hats with eyeholes succeeded. But I keep wondering if anyone, at this point, really NEEDS an introduction to Thom Browne. While I'm sure the amped-up couture version satisfied whatever the technical requirements are, it starts to feel like he's SO prolific that he's stepping on his own feet.
