Cody Fern, from the Ryan Murphy stable of actors (he's in the Versace series, he played the Antichrist, etc.), wrote Closing Night as a showcase for Sarah Paulson, and Variety likes her chances for an Oscar nod. I hope this pans out, because she is a wild sartorial ride at all times.
Also: Petition to move TIFF to early August, so that we can end The Summer Doldrums just a LITTLE bit earlier. As it is, we have a dead zone and then Venice, TIFF, NYFW, and the Emmys, all overlapping in some form or another.
