Saoirse Ronan is promoting a dark comedy (!) called Bad Apples. She is also, I believe, currently shooting the Sam Mendes Beatles biopic(s), in which she plays Linda McCartney. Now, Linda McCartney definitely had some Hairdos in her time -- didn't we all! -- but I don't recall her sporting very modern-seeming harsh microbangs. Besides which, that movie seems to be wigging everyone out like mad (double meaning intended, as every shot of the wigs makes us all wig out), so you'd assume Saoirse might get one as well. Or maybe she's done with her part. Regardless: These are intense. Perhaps too intense for her face. They also double down on her resemblance to fellow Irish actress Ella Lily Hyland, a.k.a. the assassin Williams, my favorite part of Black Doves, which just makes me want them to play murderous ladies together. They've already shot season two of Black Doves; how about a sequel to Hanna? Even a series called Murderous Ladies would be fine. I'll leave that to the bigwigs to work out. I can only take you so far before your paychecks need to kick in, Hollywood.
