Zendaya first wore this jacket in Paris for The Odyssey. I'm not even sure I understood it to be a jacket, and not part of the whole dress, but the entire ensemble together hideous – but a large chunk of that was down to the lingerie she wore under it. When placed on top of that, these aggressive frills were too much, like frosting a shitcake. While it might still be too Seinfeld Puffy Shirt for me, I think taking this out of that context and plopping it atop a tank and jeans is smart. I did recognize it as a repeat (which I almost never do; I have the memory of a goldfish, Ted Lasso would be proud) but the vibes are quite different and keeping everything else simple makes the frills seem like a better garnish. What do you think?
